Radical Moisture Marvels
|My post workout routine seems to be filled with one reoccurring theme – moisture. I usually start with the inside and keep it simple with water. I occasionally add in a purple vitamin water because it has potassium, which seems to keep my muscles happy.
An insightful friend once told me to give your skin as much moisture as it can take. If your face breaks out, just get a facial and have the esthetician take care of any blemishes. That is the trick to delaying (or reducing) the wrinkles. The lotions and creams don’t need to be fancy, just slather them on. I have been doing this for years and my skin loves it. I sample and buy creams, serums, lotions, and oils from a wide ranges of venues. Some of my favorites end up being from the drug store and can be bought with a coupon.
I sort of treat my hair in the same manner. I am gentle with it as I only wash it 2 to 3 times a week. I also make sure that each hair washing ends with a hydrating conditioner. I do my best to let the conditioner marinate for a few minutes before rinsing, so each strand can feel nourished. This helps protect it from the heated blow-dry.
Moisturizing and hydrating helps me keep the workout momentum going.
