Grateful for An Ideal Day
|I have been asked on more than one occasion to describe my ideal day. It seems to always start at the gym with a great class and then coffee with friends. My day continues to navigate through ordinary, everyday activities, but I am surrounded by family, friends, and a feeling of love.
I am so thankful to realize that these ideal days are actually happening most weekends. I am really describing a typical Saturday or Sunday. I love to be able to see my friends at the gym and chat in the locker room. It is so great to be able to have my sister and her family close by. I also love how friendly my neighbors are and some have turned into friends. These simple connections make my life so rich and full.
I am also mindful that some people in our country have a fear of being torn away from family and friends. I am not trying to be political here, but I am recognizing that my ordinary, ideal day is a gift. I am so grateful for this gift that I am able to experience time and time again.
