Consistency is Key
LaFitterina: I’ve been thinking about the importance of consistency. Perhaps the best inspirational tip for an active and healthy life — above all else — is to be consistent. If you want to make progress, and improve your fitness and overall health, you need consistency. There’s really no substitute. This applies both to exercise and healthy eating — if you aren’t consistent, you aren’t going to get very far. It just doesn’t cut it to be a weekend-warrior at the gym or a fair-weather dieter. Best-laid plans will fail if there’s no consistency.
Consistency, of course, doesn’t mean nonstop workouts and a deprivation diet every single day. But, by exercising regularly and making healthy choices each day, fitness and health will become a constant in your life. And your occasional guilty pleasures (for me, a donut is the best example) will become guilt-free.
